Sparta Village Offices and DPW

Type of Work: New Office building and Department of Public Works garage for the Village of Sparta.

Description of Work: The 7,000 SF Office building consists of structural steel framing with metal stud exterior walls and a brick and stone exterior. A covered walkway of structural steel and standing seam metal roofing connects the new Office to the adjacent Police Station. The front entry doors are covered by a standing seam barrel roof. The interior space contains a Lobby and Reception area, Department head offices, Conference room, Men’s & Women’s Locker/Shower rooms, Employee Breakroom and a Meeting room with occupancy for 100. The DPW garage is a 12,000 SF pre-engineered metal building with a standing seam metal roof and concrete floor. The garage is separated from the Offices by a 3-hour masonry fire wall. New utilities were brought to the site (electric, gas, water, sewer) and a large detention pond was installed for the storm water. Two new entry’s to the site were added along with curb & gutter, concrete sidewalks and asphalt parking lot and service drive.
